Marc Streichen was born in New York City 46 years ago . His french 
Grand mother Ninon Japy was a famous painter and ceramist. His 
American great grandfather named Butler was a gifted illustrator and painter . He  currently lives in Southern France in a large house in the middle of the nature with his french wife and his three children.

As long as he remembers he has always been drawing. At the age of eighteen after spending 6 months without making any art he decided he wasn’t an artist. After a career in consulting and project management in worldwide top luxury and pharmaceutical company, two things caught up with him : ecology and art.

 

Thus he created an ecological center near Toulouse gathering 
architects, green products distribution, and crafts makers and in parallel went back to les Beaux Arts de Toulouse, the famous art school. Marc Streichen dedicates himself exclusively to his art since October 2011

His first solo exhibition, "persistence of vision", held in december 2011  in Lavaur in France, was the opportunity to present 23 of his paintings and 30 engravings, mono type and dry point as well as an installation. 
 

He has held since then many exhibitions mostly in the south of France. Half of them were solo exhibitions. Lately, three art domains has kept him busy : Art installations (sometimes up to 15 meters long!), digital art and collaborations avec other artists.

He creates en 2012 with Jocelyne Saurat the 2S art collective tu develop an four handed art work on multiple media types. www.collectif2S.com

He Also is Vice President of "La Maison Jaune - Résidence d'artistes" and member of The board of The Wood Museum - contemporaray art Center in Revel (France)
